its weird i just kicked the Geddon Device ass without problem and the his attacks and movement are not what is indicated in the guide.. i think something is wrong with my copy of the game.. also does the knights(the one with shields) only deal 1-2 damage??

sell him all the good equip-able items @ a real cheap price...like around 50%

check what items he's buying and see if it raises his stats or not...

that oughtsta help you with the damage delivering problem...

this game can get really hard if you don't outfit your adventurer buddies with all the gud shtuff  as soon as u acquire/make them tongue

keep resetting the game if your pals don't buy what you want them to buy...it works like a charm for me...everytime I reset, it somehow increases the chance that they'll buy a rare item from me new re-load or on my next save...

I can't really figure out how that works...but it does for me  grin

you need to understand each character's traits (in game) to know how to charge them accordingly...
if you make good deals with them...the higher your chances are of them either buying or ordering a rare item from you...
which you can sell for lots of money anyway...cuz it's RARE
 tongue

that's why u don't buy stuff from the guild...

unless it's completely for running ur business...

I thought u knew that..
 undecided

here's a tip...

sell more and buy less during the days that u can't go on an adventure...matter of fact try to follow that trend....
don't buy things unless totally necessary.

everytime you enter a new dungeon...the chances for getting a rare item is high...

especially if you're not carrying a lot of items on you into the dungeon.

another trick is to keep picking up items...even the junk u don't really want...and only when ur bag gets full then discard the junk in favor of a 'better' item...

there is a high chance that you will get a rare item from a chest in this manner...

meaning that u will have to discard something before opening the chest...

I've come to notice that depending on what you throw away affects how good the next item will be...

it all seems completely random though...

since you can't reload and expect the same items next reload.

what I'm trying to bring to u guys attn, is that each item has what I call a 'rarity-index'.

the game somehow or the other...groups items by order of rarity...I don't know the scale...
cuz I've never really recorded each and every observation. but that's how it seems to work...

Pretty nifty game, tried it a while back when it first came out.  It's a shame that much of it is still dungeon crawling, but the premise is fresh enough to keep it appealing.
