Prayer for the Filipinos
Last Friday, six Philippine islands were slammed by super Typhoon Haiyan, a maximum category-five storm with gusts of up to 235mph, and now grim tool rises amidst ruin and chaos.Officials are now estimating that as many as 10,000 deaths may have been caused in the Philippines with a total of about 4.3 million people affected. Common images are debris and ruins of houses destroyed by one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded.floating vehicles in floodwaters, uprooted trees, flattened houses, dead bodies in the field and varying pictures of devastation that once again tested how resilient the Filipino people are. The entire nation is now cooperating to help our brothers and sisters, We're seeing lots of relief missions, both local and internationally-funded, giving hopes to the families devastated by the calamity. But recovery is still a long way to go for these families. Amidst all these, we're looking for more prayers.
